The AI Business Academy

Dell Technologies Ireland has launched the AI Business Academy, developed through its Centre of Excellence in Upskilling on the Limerick Campus.

The Centre of Excellence in Upskilling at Dell Technologies Limerick is already delivering meaningful impact, even though the full programme will not be completed until December 2026. This transformation, anchored by the AI Business Academy, is designed to modernise roles, foster innovation, and build future-ready capabilities across all functions—not just technical teams.

The programme will upskill 1,750 team members across Ireland, delivered through two distinct learning pathways: one focused on Leadership Development, and the other on Team Member Essentials. This dual-track approach ensures that both strategic leaders and operational teams are equipped to understand, apply, and lead with AI and emerging technologies in their day-to-day work.

Since its launch, the Academy has engaged hundreds of employees in tailored learning journeys, hands-on workshops, and real-world use case development. Early feedback has been highly positive, with participants reporting increased confidence in applying AI and automation concepts to their roles. Teams in Services, Finance, and Engineering have begun identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve customer outcomes, and enhance decision-making.

Initial results include:

  • Over 300 employees enrolled in the first phase.

  • Multiple use cases submitted and piloted for operational deployment.

  • Improved employee engagement scores in participating teams.

  • Stronger cross-functional collaboration, with AI and digital tools acting as enablers.

This Centre of Excellence offers a strategic, inclusive approach to upskilling, empowering employees to think beyond their immediate tasks and contribute to broader transformation goals.

The €3 million investment from IDA Ireland, in collaboration with Digital Skillnet, Neueda, and the London Business School, has enabled Dell to deliver a world-class programme that blends academic insight with practical application. It also supports Ireland’s national strategy for digital transformation and reinforces Dell’s commitment to regional development and talent retention.

Importantly, once the programme is completed in December 2026, Dell plans to share the AI Business Academy model with industry partners and explore opportunities to scale it globally across Dell’s workforce.
