Dell Technologies
The AI Business Academy
Dell Technologies Ireland has introduced an ambitious enterprise-wide AI upskilling initiative in partnership with the AI Business Academy and Dell’s Centre of Excellence in Upskilling based on its Limerick Campus.
The AI Business Academy works with companies to accelerate AI adoption, modernise roles, and foster innovation by designing bespoke programmes targeting AI capabilities across all functions—not just technical teams.
The full AI Business Academy programme rollout is due to be completed in Dell Technologies by December 2026.
The Dell Technologies rollout will upskill 1,750 team members across Ireland, delivered through two distinct learning pathways: one focused on Leadership Development and the other on Team Member Essentials. This dual-track approach ensures that both strategic leaders and operational teams are equipped to understand, apply, and lead with AI and emerging technologies in their day-to-day work.
Since launched with Dell Technologies the AI Business Academy has engaged hundreds of employees in tailored learning journeys, hands-on workshops, and real-world use case development. Early feedback has been highly positive, with participants reporting increased confidence in applying AI and automation concepts to their roles. Teams in Services, Finance, and Engineering have begun identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve customer outcomes, and enhance decision-making.
Initial results include:
Over 300 employees enrolled in the first phase, which has grown to 900+ employees now enrolled.
Multiple use cases submitted and piloted for operational deployment.
Improved employee engagement scores in participating teams.
Stronger cross-functional collaboration, with AI and digital tools acting as enablers.
In collaboration with Dell Technologies Learning & Development and the AI Business Academy, this program offers a strategic, inclusive approach to upskilling, empowering employees to think beyond their immediate tasks and contribute to broader transformation goals.
Following design work and pilot funding provided by the Digital Skillnet, the AI Business Academy roll out in Dell Technologies Ireland secured a further €3 million investment from IDA Ireland. The AI Business Academy is delivered through a federation of leading AI experts including London Business School, TU Dublin and Neueda. This approach has enabled Dell Technologies to deliver a truly world-class programme that blends academic insight with practical application. It also supports Ireland’s national strategy for digital transformation and reinforces Dell’s commitment to regional development and talent retention.
Dell Technologies Ireland has been a pioneering company in AI adoption and the first to partner with the national AI Business Academy to deliver an ambitious enterprise-wide AI upskilling rollout. Importantly, once the programme is completed in December 2026, Dell Technologies plans to share its experience with the AI Business Academy and explore opportunities to scale it globally across Dell’s workforce.
