University of Limerick for its AWS - Immersive Software Engineering (ISE) Global Fellowship Programme
The AWS-ISE Global Fellowships were launched by UL in 2022 and are a long-term partnership aiming to transform computer science education and research.
It will attract global leaders from industry and academia to the University of Limerick (UL). AWS-ISE Fellows will spend between three weeks and six months inspiring UL students, working with researchers, and engaging with ISE’s growing coalition of industry partners.
The fellowships have already attracted company founders, people who work in agencies, distinguished professors from the USA and more. By offering short-term, competitive positions within the ISE ecosystem, UL can attract and engage candidates otherwise tied to long-term commitments like share-options, tenure, geography or families. They come for the prestige and a chance to do interesting things with fascinating people, and most have come from the USA.
