Pepsico - Ireland’s Flagship Sustainability Site in Carrigaline

At PepsiCo’s flagship sustainability site in Carrigaline, its focused emissions reduction project has achieved standout results becoming one of the first international sites in PepsiCo's global network, across 200 countries and territories, to reach a 100% Fossil Fuel Free status.

PepsiCo’s Global Chief Sustainability Officer invited the Carrigaline site to feature in a live Townhall for all 320,000 global employees, in March 2024, to recognise this incredible achievement. This accomplishment is a highlight within PepsiCo’s broader goal to cut its 2015 emissions baseline by 75% by 2030. Already the site has achieved an 85 percent reduction, seven years ahead of schedule. This success is underpinned by significant investments in renewable electricity, the adoption of renewable biofuel, and a series of energy-saving initiatives, all demonstrating PepsiCo’s unwavering commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable practices.
