Junior Achievement Ireland

Junior Achievement Ireland (JAI) serves young people across Ireland and equips them with the skillset and mindset to create sustainable businesses, find meaningful employment, and build thriving communities. More than 1,000,000 students attending schools in Ireland have enjoyed and benefitted from Junior Achievement (JA) programmes over its 28 year history in Ireland.

Working with schools and partners in business and industry, JA programmes promote work readiness, financial literacy, entrepreneurship and the value of studying STEM.

JAI uses the experience of those already in the workforce both from the public and private sectors to help young people to fully understand the important role that education will play in shaping their futures. Volunteers are recruited, trained, vetted, equipped and supported to deliver hands-on learning experiences that empower students to make connections between what they learn in school and how it can be applied to life outside the classroom.

JAI is part of a worldwide organisation JA Worldwide (JAWW) reaching out to over 10 million young people each year. Junior Achievement was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
