I WISH
I WISH is a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to showcasing the power of STEM to teenage girls globally.
In the last 10 years they have hosted annual showcase events, mentorship programmes, entrepreneurship programmes, International Programmes, twinning initiatives, tech for good programmes, Campus programmes and have engaged with over 63,000 teenage girls globally to consider STEM as a career in STEM along with empowering these young women to have confidence in their ability to choose it.
Through its STEM Twinning Programme launched in 2021, an expanded offering from I Wish, which engages girls year-round, the organisation has been able to expand their relationship with the US exponentially.
The collaborative STEM twinning initiative connected teenage girls with their peers as well as providing vital access to influential female STEM role-models throughout the year.
Schools participating in the programme explored three themes: transformative technology, the world through my eyes and protecting the planet and worked together to produce a project for the annual I Wish STEM Showcase in February 2022.
By creating a network of global schools with different approaches and experiences, I WISH is giving students on opposite sides of the Atlantic the opportunity to connect, explore and imagine.
